making A Commitment

Making A Commitment TO CHRIST

You need to do five things to join God’s family. If you haven’t already, I urge you to make a commitment to follow Christ when you are sincerely  ready by taking the following steps:

1. Admit your spiritual need. “I am a sinner.”

2. Repent and ask God’s forgiveness. Be willing to turn from your sin and, with God’s grace and mercy, start living to please Him.

3. Believe that Christ Jesus is your personal Saviour, who was sent down from heaven to die on the cross to pay for and free you from your sin.

4. Through prayer, receive Jesus Christ into your heart and life.

Sincerely pray a prayer similar to the one below:
Dear Lord Jesus I know I am a sinner. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and that You rose again from the grave, and that You have power over death. Right now, I turn from my sins and open my heart for You to enter into my life. I receive You as my personal Lord and Saviour and I thank You for saving me.

5. Then tell a believing friend and/or a Pastor of your commitment (clickhere to share your good news with Pastor Karl or Pastor Margaret).
The Bible assures us of God’s willingness to listen to us: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Matthew 7:7-8

Acts 20:28

Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood

Colossians 1:20

and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Ephesians 1:7

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace

Hebrews 9:14

How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
